Global warming: We will have to get used to it ___ BY FAREED ZAKARIA

http://www.khaleejtimes.com/DisplayArticleNew.asp?xfile=data/opinion/2007/February/opinion_February47.xml&section=opinion

In his article he said that global warming is real and we cannot stop it, so we must get used to liveing with it. Also he gave some evidence and figures about it to support his opinion. Actually, I agree with him by 50%. If we cannot stop global warming, at least we can reduce its effect. However, I agree with him in getting used to it. Why do not we try to invent a new technique that helps us feel better with this terible steamy weather as well as trying to stop global warming?

In this article the author warns about how dangerous global warming is and that we must do something before time runs out. I agree with this topic and I think that this is a kind of very scary phenomenon.

Conclusion about the whole project

This project has really widened my horizon on the importance of today’s hot subject “Global Warming”. I can now tell that the root causes of global warming are from our day-to-day activities and we can easily continue with these activities but without polluting the environment. If we keep global warming protection in our minds and hearts when we are driving our cars, running or factories and power plants, we can help in protecting the environmental and reducing the emissions of air pollutants that have the potential to cause global warming . These can be simply achieved if the air quality and global warming awareness campaigns are conducted by environmental authorities to raise the level of awareness of the public in the importance and seriousness of global warming not only on today’s generation but also on the coming ones.

The Ministry of Education has a role to play by adding “Environmental Protection” as a subject in the curriculum of at least secondary schools. Simply by using the technology in writing this project as blog instead of printing it out on papers, we have preserved good number of trees and energy required to produce this papers as well. Simple action like this by individuals could definitely add values as far as environmental protection is concerned.
